i bought my controller at gamestop, but i'm sure you can get one at just about anyplace that sells any type of electronics.

make sure you get a ps2-type controller for your pc. anybody who works at the store should know where to find them

mine was...um, 20 dollars i think. i'm sure there are cheaper and more expensive versions though.

oh that is awesome >.> I hate myself now b/c of how it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper for me to get the computer version and controller than it was to get the ps2 version I dont even need the hardrive on my ps2 for any other game but FFXI and it came to $150.00 for everything when if I got the computer version is should have been around $60.00 >.<

I will admit that I feel sorry for the PS2 players, since they're stuck with horrid graphics no matter what advances are made.

i couldn't tell THAT big of a difference between the pc and ps2 graphics, and i've played both.

the biggest problems with the ps2 is it limits how big areas can be, how many mobs you can have per area, how many types of armor you can have, etc... if se dropped support of the ps2, it *could* free them up to tripple the number of mobs, and give us more variety in the way things look in general.

but i agree with what someone else said. there is no reason for boyada tree crabs to look like dunes crabs, to look like selbina boat crabs, to look like all other crabs... even with the limitations of the ps2, this still feels like lazy programming.

i've looked at those dat files. i've seen that we have room to expand the variety of the mobs we experience from one zone to another.

Actually, its really easy. I never use mouse.. and how the **** can you type with a controllor? It sounds annoying. I like using keyboard.. and i use it while laying in bed and stuff

most people dont use controllers to type, we use usb keybaords >.> yes using a controller would get annoying but its not like ps2 users ddidnt buy a keyboard that would be weird xD

oh and the graphics for the ps2 are actually quite the same (my friend uses computer) and to tell you the truth I find it very easy to play the game using ps2

i have both a controller and a keyboard plugged into my ps2. i walk/fight with the controller, and i type with the keyboard.

when i play on my laptop, i use a controller and a usb keyboard so i don't have to sit right in front of the screen if i don't want to.

i couldn't play this game keyboard-only after playing it with a controller. i tried both, and the controller is just so much better...

Virtual Keyboards are just something you have to get use to. They usually have a lot of functions that the control takes advantage of that many people don't know, the whole VK thing is still a little confusing for me as well simply because I don't use it to often.

It does have it's own speed and methods of efficency, of course just a physical keyboard is still faster. At least until technology gets insaine enough that it reads brainwaves or something and types from that, the speed there would probably be unmatched then as well as it multi-tasking ability.

Anyway back to topic, if you look at the messages and posts from some years ago many people use to love SE's fashion design. Just that the wasn't enough variety of gear that people would say was good to use and fashionable so the same gear was seen so much they lost taste for it.

Before when you saw Iron Musketteer gear people would be going "Ohh! Ahh!" and they just go "Ehh, seen it". So really there isn't a huge deal that SE has to admit of their designs not being noteworthy, the Shade gear as well as many other newer items that have come out are quite impressive I think.

yes i agree with you, using the controller makes it so much easier than using a kebyard, and I as well use a usb keyboard and I move/fight/walk/use macros with my controller and then I type with my keyboard so all in all its not that bad ^^

i think MOST of the gear in this game looks pretty cool. i only started .dat editing because i couldnt stand only 2 or 3 pieces of gear (a top here, a legs there...)

my only gripe with se is really the same as (i think) everybody else's: the lack of variety in the mobs. of course, you *can* go xp somewhere else, but we xp where we do because that's the best place to xp (...usually lol), not because of the way the mobs look.

there is no reason why all crabs must look exactly the same...

lol more than a level 9 thf with no subjob can buy one for^^

the aketons look cool though. i agree that most of the newer gear does look awesome (shade harness, crow gear, etc.)

the aketons cost like 600k apiece on my server at the moment, but prices vary from server to server. that's a bit off topic though...

sorr I know, but I am not just a lvl 10 thf XD I have another chr lol that is much higher its just that is what this chr is at >.> anyway I can aford the Kingdom Aketon so maybe I am going to go to Jeuno and find someone that is selling it ^^
