Hylian Shield (hume male only)

Hi guys, I made a hylian shield out of a tatami shield.




But so far it's only hume male. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can make it for other races? Alot of my taru and elvaan friends want this shield as theirs.
It's a customised shield (was based on Kite shield,however i edited the model), it's not just a retexture, which is why I've been having trouble trying to create it for other races.

I'll post a link to my livejournal with the post, which contains the .zip file. If anyone can contact me how to make it for other races, I would love it :D I'll also put your name in the readme for the shield, and give you full credit for helping me.

I tried on KI but the people who know how to change it to other races wouldnt let me know how. /shrug, so I'll try here

I dont know.. but dont get equipment auto-resized to other characters? Just a stupid guess.. or does, when you trade for example a shield from a elvaan to a taru, the actual Dat file for wearing change? o.O

Also show us a picture. ^^ Im excited, cause I liked playing as link in Zelda ^^

Yeah, I noticed when I exported them all to 3dmax(when i wanted to compare the race sizes) they were all the same, so I did a straight swap of the dat, but the Hume shield was inside the elvaan's butt >_>

When He clapped, it looked very um... wrong A shield flapping around his bottom is not what I had in mind, lol.

XD how funny Hmm does this mean, you have to manually change all the dat files for the same equipment for each race? Maybe you can just try resizing the dat file you made?

Yes, it means you'll have to manually change the file for each race(i'm certain) since the .dat for the Elvaan shield had a different number and position in the rom folder than the Hume shield.

An easy way to switch this for other races is by editing the skeleton weight in VRS, mostly a simple fix.

An easier way to do this is to alter the texture, so long as you didnt alter the .dat using VRS.

Basically if the hume Shield has been PHYSICALLY altered and not just texture altered. Just replace the texture.
