Also, MSPaint while being a "useless piece of crap", is capable of doing anything Photoshop does, so there.

I guess you could but photoshop just saves u hours
of work and makes elements easier to manipulate
with some of the filters and the use of layers for
example.

Anyway those are some really nice crabs edits good job ^.^

Not sure what the differences are, I've never used Gimp. But as for getting Photoshop free and not mentioning Torrents...not sure what to tell you.

photoshop is generally considered to be the better of the two programs, but only because it's not open source, it seems. I can't think of anything specific aside from some effects plugins that you have in PS and not in GIMP. Personally, I think that GIMP is easier to learn, but that's because I really don't like Photoshop's menu system. I should be able to do all of my manipulations by using a combination of right- and left-clicking on the image, and not hunting through menus....

On the other hand, it's pretty easy to break GIMP. All you have to do is install a newer version of GTK without a reinstall of GIMP... >.>
