  • converting .mqo files to .dat

    Problem: Cant convert .MQO files made in Metasequoia to .DAT ysubg FFXI Model Veiwer option to convert

    Reason behind problem: The Veiwer says it can convert MQO files but it can only convert .mcd files

    type of solution: A way to convert .MQO files into .DAT or to .MCD


    yeah any help will be appriciated. I got this weapon a friend did up for me which will be pretty cool. Its a GunBlade ^_^

    They're the same thing. .mcd is the vertex data, and comes from the original file, and cannot be modified by Metasequoia, which is why you can move, but not delete vertexes. Just convert the .mcd of the same name and you'll be fine.

      but its not saving at MCD is the thing and i tried renaming it from .mqo to .mcd and it doesnt work =\

        When you convert the .dat to an .mqo with the Model viewer, you should end up with ~3 files. A .mqo, an .mcd, and at least one .bmp. They all save in the same place with the same name.

          could you explain on how to save it so it will create those two other files? because when i save it it only saves it as .mqo and no other files are made/saved
