Irisjir here, I was wondering...

Is there a text dialouge for the LoT series anywhere? I"m having difficulty making out the words fast enough in some places, and I'm missing some dialouge. I've got the gist of the idea, but I feel like I'm misisng out on some of the finer points...

Is there any way we can use the Dawn Maiden's actual model files as a template?

Also, I've seem to remember some dress or dress-like outfits in the collection Devifoxx has, perhaps we can use that as a base.

(Right now I am waiting on Cruia to come back with a responce to my first draft of his armor)

The problem with a lot of those is that when the character walks, it looks really funny. Something to do with the skeleton and how it's attached. A lot of the people on the VRS forums have figured out this stuff, but I'm only barely beyond knowing how to open a model.

If it's possible to take the npc model and make it for a pc, that would be wondeful, but I have no idea if it's even possible.

Sorry for the delay. Is it possible to use the opaline dress set as a template for Atlana's dress? I mean the way it is, would it be possible to stretch out the bottom part to make it look like a real dress?

PS. Irisjir, there isn't a text dialogue file persay but if you would like one I wouldn't mind making one. I think the problem with the first 3 episodes was the text itself. So i had it changed for ep 4.

Using the Oplaline dress as a base would solve the skinning problem for making it look like a dawnmaiden's dress, but then we run into the issue of streaching the model too far.

See Cruia, there is a set amount of points in a model we can move to alter the shape. Which is ok for minor modifications like what I did with your armor. But lengetening anything, it ends up looking flat and like siffened cardboard.

I'm supprized Devifoxx, or any of the VRS crew hasnt chimed in yet...

There's a mod if it could be ported to hume female you could use. It's for mithra It's white puffy bottomed wedding dress. It's inside the collection. I would think to make the dress if one had VRS you could I guess the word for it is duplicate/rip the wings from another mod and add them to the dress model - though texturing then might be a pain in the ass unless you make the wings an equippable accessory - or have Kilandor/Stormgarde figure out how to add it.

On another note - I thought Altana has long hair? If you want a long hair mod made for altana I can do it - I know enough of that sort of thing to make a nice one - as long as you know things as hair color, eye color, maybe make up - I suck at lipstick though.

I have another long white dress that's from Shooting Stars and (though adult you can probably figure a way to get the wings off) angel wings.

That is similar to what I am looking for. Only problem is as much as the fan boys want to see it, I think a god doesnt need to show any cleavage but the dress has the basic idea. I also saw in the dats from the sexy pld for hume female a headpiece with wings on it, and I'm just wondering if its possible to do both wings and headwings. Also can you make long hair for Face 3A?

Covering up the cleavage should be too hard . Just how long do you want the hair and what colors? Like do you want bright-noticable eyes like Yve'Noile's? She has brightest/pale teal eyes - rather noticle compared to the player models which for hume females is either brown or dark blue. Some how I think Pale Silver might stand out the best as she is a God - and god's don't have normal eyes >.>.

you have the right idea there already. The dress, you dont have to worry about, since Hyrist is working on it although you might want to get with him for additional ideas and support. As for the face, you pretty much got it how i wanted it.

If Hyrist is still looking for ideas on Dress Manipulation I found a couple things that might work. I totally forgot i had this mithra one that someone like Stormgarde might be able to swap over.

I'm not sure how the wings would translate over - but someone with like Ama's painting skill she could make them into beautiful wings.

I got a rough thingy done of Altana's head - the original model I was working with isn't coopperating with me - so I went about it a different way. Lemme know if there's anything you want changed.

I went with Prismatic Eyes (like a rainbow?) to give her a more goddess-y look.

I wonder.. if with VRS if you could take something like the wings from an Arhiman and rip them? Or from a Demon - I bet you could do it with VRS maybe..

Sorry for not "Chiming In" earlier, lol

A minor suggestion about that Altana head.

Altana's more or less supposed to be the God (Or in this case "Goddess") of
Vana'diel. The giver of life and creator of the world. Personally, aside from
that face as it is... I would've made changes.

1. Make the hair slightly longer. To me, the length of the hair would somewhat
symbolize the fact that she's been around for a long time.

2. Maybe add facial markings similar to the Mithra heads. The Ark Angels have
Facial Markings. Mithras do. Even the Kuluu.

3. I'd add some kind of crown piece of some sort. Maybe take the "Darkstalkers-
esque" head from Mithra, take those bat wings and turn them into Angel
Wings. Then add those wings to an extravagant-looking Golden Tiara. Either
use those wings. Or do what they did for the "Angel Paladin" outfit, and add
either that crown piece, or use the wings from the "Bison" (End-Game BST JSE)
head piece.

4. Finally, I'd add some kind of Halo. Not the kind that hovers over your head
like that one Mithra .DAT ... But the kind that floats behind your head or body.

The reason why I'm listing all these is because I'm truly trying to get a sense
of who "Altana" is and what she's supposed to "be" exactly.

If you look at Final Fantasy's history, and all of the "God Beasts", they're all
based off of world Mythology and Theology-- Adopting points from pretty
much every world religion. Hindu, Norse, Greek, Christianity, Catholicism, Aztec
and so on and so forth.

Also, to further add to this point, if you play through RoZ (Rise of the Zilart)
and CoP (Chains of Promathia) and you actually listen to the dialogue being
said by Yve'noile, the Dawnmaiden and other characters, it's kind of
interesting.

Yve'noile, I guess, is supposed to be more or less the "Spokesperson" for Altana.
Throughout the game, pretty much she's treated as if she's the holiest of holies.
But at some point she even says that she's "met" Altana once before, and
even then there's no way she could compare herself to Altana. With that
sentence, you get the indication of how "grand" she's supposed to be. That
and the fact that in San d'Oria there's even a cathedral that worships her,
and has even sent Missionaries to the Crag of Holla, Rabao, and to "preach to
the savages that live in Kazham" (The Teleport-Yhoat quest, which even
involved you to go get a statue made out of Elshimo Marble in the image of
the goddess to give to the "Savages"). Sounds mildly familiar, when you
think about it.

I'd help out with your movies. In fact, I even had an idea for a movie of
my own... With everyone in it. But it's a long ways off...

Let me put it like this... I have the materials to make the movie, but not the
utilities... Not the tools. I'm waiting on VRS... And if there was a program
that allowed you to Create your own Private Server / Offline Instance of
FFXI and actually Script your own Cutscenes, then making an FFXI movie
would be easy as pie. You could even have voice actors and have it be like
Red Vs. Blue with "Halo" for XBox.

I apologize for rambling. I'm just throwing ideas out there, that's all.

Ultimately, the choice is up to you. If you want me to help you, I'll do what I
can.
