Aye, basically this is the same problem I encountered when I tried using
Hume Male weapons on Elvaan Male.
Square-Enix, when designing the characters, didn't set an attatch point
for whatever reason. Wasn't really wise on their part. The end result
would be the weapon would show up in bizzare places on the body.
You probably mentioned all that though.
But yeah, keep it up. I'm looking forward to your findings.___
