  • Probably something simple...

Wish I'd stumbled across this place sooner >.>

Hopefully someone won't mind helping me out. Here's the deal: I'm trying to lengthen the hair on my Male Elvaan (face 3A). I've exported the files fine and have edited the wireframe in Metasequoia. However, I'm having trouble converting the files back to .DAT using the Model Viewer. After using the "Convert MOQ to DAT" option, a dialog box says it compiles correctly but the model itself doesn't change. Any suggestions as to what step I'm missing?

Attached are images of the .mqo in Metasequoia as well as the folder I'm using to compile the file.

Thanks in advance for any help ^^

You're not one of those "Legolasssss" elvaan rangers, are you? XD

Just kidding. I probably shouldn't even have posted because I have no idea how to fix this problem.

I haven't tested it out yet... but I think Changetex3 should be able to do this. Let me find the URL.

The buttons are pretty simpel to figure out, even if they are all in japanese.

          OKay...
1>First thing, make sure you have the most updated .exe and the updated page files.
2>Next, after you have edited the .mqo, make sure you choose "Save As" in the Mes-q menu [just to make sure that it saves in the correct directory]. Sometimes, Mes-Q will "forget" where the original file comes from but says that it was saved.
3>Alt+Tab to your Model Viewer [because you do have both of them open simulatneously to facilitate correct mesh line-up, right?].
4>Press Alt+f, then Alt+m, then find the correct file you just fixed in the directory u saved it in. Don't get confused with the "Dat to MQO" button on the sidebar. The .dat changing function is only in the "File" menu.
5>If that doesn't help you, then I have no idea what's wrong because I haven't had an issue like that since I started messing around with the app while learning it. When I get home, I'll look at the config files [if any] and see if I configured it ina wierd way that keeps me from having any of the problems everyone else seems to be having.

The problem is, I'm assuming, you edited the verticies which interfears with the .mcd file. Read some of the previous posts in this forum to understand it better. It's been explained many times.
