Beginner help - Changing hair color etc

I was playing around with photoshop CS2 and

I was trying to find ways of jsut changing the hair color and but leaving the face intact like "color replace" "color range select" "magic wand"

anyone have any tricks or tips in way to do this?

Especially on an image like that where there isn't a broad tonal range, none of the shortcuts you mentioned are any substitute for manually selecting the area you want to modify. Once you've done that it's just a matter of using Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation.

There is a small cheat you can use to make your initial selection easier. Turn on quick mask mode (The icon looks like [o] under the color swatches on the toolbar) and paint the area you want to change with the paintbrush.

ARGH white face and tanned body, /scared lol, nice the last one with light blue-green eyes, natural colors

thats the one with blond hair blue eyes
only a small transparency problem with it but not soemthing you can notice unless you look up close to it

Playing around a bit more with .dat's changing them a bit, trying out metasequoia now and trying to change the actual shape of the .dat files to see what new things I can come up with XD

I was curious though anyone used this program and figured how to get the changes made in this program to work in ffxi?

it looks nice rendered (can't figure how to change the background coloring ; but ingame looks bad ;;

Anyone know how to alter shapes of things to put in yourself an edit?

I tried stuff like... opening 2 files through metasqoia program... like lets say earth staff, insert staff from xoltol and removing the earth staff and aligning the xoltol staff in and then reinserting that into game but that idea didn't come out well

anyone know how to do these kind of changes? like how person got the AA's sword n how they got ramuh's staff usable by characters n such?
