Any able to spare some starting programs recommended to used to satrt beginner stuff like changing armour,hair,weapon colors.

If your talking about FFXI I sugest that being the only program you should have to use, and about the armor issue well... I know it's really tough but why don't you try and find armors in the game! o.O (shocked)

like is paintshop pro good for doing this or adobe photoshop, or macromedia fireworks, or whats the easiest one you've found to do what you want to do like changing armour color .dat's.

also maybe programs you'd recommend (in english) to maybe modify armour shapes, (not jsut the color/design on the gear) etc etc

Sorry. I thought you meant changing equipment throught .dat changing. This isn't really my forte.

But, I use Gimp for my npc site. It's has a lot of features (layers, scaling, the basics, etc.). Think of it as free and legal Photoshop.
