    Re: 3D Rendering

Is there an advantage 3DSMax or Maya have over each other in the 3D Rendering aspect?

      Re: 3D Rendering

Well, apparently it's easier to import MQO files into 3DS than it is into Maya, but I doubt it has a better rendering package. (Not that Maya has a great one either.)

One thing I noticed is that alpha transparency doesn't seem to transfer over. Certain hairstyles, as well as certain bits of armor turn out horribly wrong. Adaman breastplate and Elvaan M head F2, for example.

im new here so sorry for asking questions that will make me seem like a newbie.
is there anyway possible that you can make 11 entirely 3d like the pictures shown above? would you have to edit each and every single dat? i think the game would be much more enjoyable with that kind of look, especially since they've shown screens of the 360 version which isnt 360 at all, higher res :-/

no i don't think so. you'll have to rewrite the game engine to change the lighting to get the realistic look.

                Thanks Yyg!

That's the one that Estya gave me. Not sure which one you need. In any case, it's all I got.
I too am in need of the plugin, but this site only seems to give for 3d Studio max 3-5, but I currently have 7... is their a way around this?

EDIT: What I ment was that when I tried to put the plug-in in, I get the error saying that its not supported for my version... any suggestions? Im running win2k, but I dont think that should matter = \

EDIT2: Ok ok I feel stupid partially... I didnt see the 3dmax6 version plugin cause I kept going into the english section...I found it and now able to import mqo's... time to experiment!
