I could be could be completely off but thought even in a coding sence it could be a factor in Color probability..

My thought is... Could your job level have an effect on the probability of your choco being of color rather than Yellow? Like for example.. Let's say you have a "Slightly Warm" egg and it's assumed Slightly warm yeilds Desitiers. if you were at level 60 in your main job at the time you turned the egg in or on day 19, maybe you have a 60% chance of getting Black whereas at level 25 you only had a 25% chance of getting black. Etc.. Kinda like a sort of reward for reaching the higher levels. Plus my reasoning is that the colored Choco's on my server seem to only be owned by high level characters and the trend seems to be that the ISNM eggs seem to yeild color more often than purchased eggs. and most of the ISNMs require you to be 30+ in your job lest you wanna die facing the first mob you hit.

Make any sence? So here's the scoop. Please vote, if you can remember, what level you were at the time you turned the egg in. Again I could be totally off on this but please Humor me XP

Well as that could be a probability, I doubt it has much bearing. It doesn't make sense to have something that completly unrelated to your level be controlled by that. Like crafts I think the chocobos are freed from players level, the only potential thing that could be tied to player is possibly a hidden breeding skill (Like Digging skill which has been proven to be a hidden skill).

If there is a hidden breeding skill then likely the chances of getting a chocobo raised how you want could increase. That is a possibility that I don't know if it's been tested or found in data mining to exist, but never saw anything that proved it didn't exist either.

There is no correlation between level and chocobo color. Even if some of your numbers proved to be higher than others, there is no concrete evidence or way of saying that level is related to it. I could make a statement saying that smoking causes leukemia. The statistics may prove that the rate of smoking and leukemia are going up, but how can we tell that there is a correlation between the two?

It all comes down to common sense, and what logically is related to chocobo color, such as affection, endurance, anything that's related to the chocobo.

Well I don't know about the fairness aspect of it. They already warned that you can get a Rare egg but doesn't guarentee a rare chocobo. Not only that but it already seems to get a chocobo of exceptional stats to make them more worth using then the rental ones are already privaledge to the players able to spend lots of money. The player created prices for these items pretty much already create exclusions of low level players making any chocobo with impressive stats.

So outside of that color really stats to become only asthetics and that generally holds the least of improtance. Then again it helps create a demand were higher levels players I'm sure will pay an arm and a leg for, so high level players will be funding money to some lower levels that'll probably help them get through many levels that much easier.

Then again also got the RMTs budding in and creating pricing issues as well. Then also the chocobo's warmth seems to indicate some control of odds of becoming a colored chocobo. The two warmest options also only obtainable in fights that require you be of higher level and they seem to have a higher chance of getting a color chocobo.
