  • Zest for Life?

Has anyone received this message? know what it means?

I only got the "zest for life" message once, and I never saw anything saying it came off this status, e.g. "Your chocobo seems to have calmed down" corresponding to the "high spirits" state.

The Zest for Life message means that your chocobo is no longer bored. Bored status is cured by racing. In my experience, Bored status is the #1 most common status ailment my chocobos have gotten. They get it almost every other day. Racing on days they are not bored does not seem to prevent the status.

Ah, ok... just didn't see it enough times to make the connection. Thanks!

Are there any negative effects when they're bored?

I would assume that bored status prevents the normal stat gains you normally recieve from a mental care plan. Much like IRL bored prevents you from actually learning anything useful in class. Until I see better testing though, that'll have to just remain my suspicion on the matter.

I have no idea what it does. I have tried to prevent the status by racing 2x per day which usually prevents walking with no success. It simply occurs and I doubt that any negative effects occur unless you fail to fix the status (in other words if your chocobo is bored for more than a day) because the status occurs so very often (at least in some chocobos, mine in particular).
