Retirement, how does it work?

Okay! So my little SnowRose has grown up to a great adult Chocobo, and I feel it's time for her to take her leave from all of the Mail work of her life, besides I want to raise her baby now! So I decided to retire her, and after feeding her and caring for her for the last time, I retired her. However, after he said he'd send her off to a farm.... I talked to him again, and she was still there, ready to be taken care of. My thoughts were...okay maybe it'll happen at the turn of midnight, Japan time. Came back this morning and she's still available. I currently have her baby in hand, but it seems I'll be unable to take care of her... any idea what's wrong?

If you got the retirement cutscene and received the VCS Registration Card and Mog House furnishing plaque, then you've properly retired your chocobo. Maybe you have to wait for your next Daily Report time? (It's the time you traded in the egg, not Japanese midnight.)

Yeah. It probably won't update until the 'choco-day' flips.

Okay... I talked to my friend, and apparently it's suppose to happen automatically. So I tried again, and sure enough it happened right away. (Cutscene made me wonder if I made the right decision in doing this...;.; ) Anyway, I have no idea why it didn't work before, maybe I didn't have the bag space for the two items or something? Anyway... thanks for the replies ^^

Yeah.. my Mog Home was completely bare this morning, only had 1 flower pot, and like 5 water jugs. After getting SnowRose's plaque... I went right out and bought a table along with someother things. But mainly the table because I didn't want her plaque to ever touch the ground. ;.;

Yeah, when I retired mine, I just got that plaque, card and CS. Of course, I traded a new egg shortly thereafter, so maybe that hastens the process along. I am kind of curious about that retirement CS, though. Zopago said they'd take her off to a nice farm when she retired. I'm curious as to where they keep this farm, as I've heard nice things about some Elvaan colony called Fl O'rida or something. Apparently a lot of chocos go there to retire, and mess up elections.
