I feel kinda bad about this, but...

As I've stated a few times, my chocobo is black. It has substandard strength, substandard endurance, poor discernment, and poor receptivity. Now that it's an adult, I can breed it. Luckily for me, chococards aren't rare or exclusive. I can buy as many as I want, as often as I want, for only 500 gil. For a (somewhat) high-level player, I'm really poor. I need gil. My question to everyone is this: how much should I charge for the card?

I suppose you should charge as much as people are willing to pay for it. However, keep in mind that your chocobo won't always be this rare, nor will the interest level be quite as high, so you're really going to have to eventually find another form of income.

That said, for the time being, get what you can out of it, I suppose.

I have a very strong sense of justice, and I feel like I'm taking advantage of people by selling chococards. Kinda like selling cookies/crackers for way more than they're worth during halloween. The difference is there isn't a NPC that sells black chocobo chococards... Anyway, I was looking for a more direct answer. So I guess I should've asked: what would you be willing to pay for a black chocobo chococard?

I dunno. Getting a Black Chocobo is of little conseqence for me, so I probably wouldn't pay for it at all, to be honest. But I'm sure there are some folks out there that would pay a considerable amount.

Yeah, this one would be tough to pass. Since cards go both ways, seriously don't think it to be a good idea period. Though I know it's going to happen, I have doubts on how well they'll sale when you got people that are likely going to just breed with a chocobo in their own LSs. I know I got mine setup already to do so with a few of the chocobo's in the LS.

Absolutely agreed, Macht, but if events in this game have taught me nothing else, it's that people are impatient, and will spend a lot of gil to get things right now.

Especially considering the disposable income some folks have.

You are forced to wait 30 days before even reaching that point anyways, if you've planned it all ahead right then you won't really have to wait much. Then also not to mention having to work another 30 days just to raise that chocobo, these tickets demands are to distributed out and likely to have low demand.

So I really wouldn't think them to sell for much after a while.

Besides it's just asking for scrutiny, I doubt the ticket states the color of the chocobo. So then going to have people claiming they have a black one and then turns out they didn't.

Did you miss the part where I agreed with you? I still think people will pay stupid prices. Especially if they don't have a network of friends with which to breed their Chocobo.

Right now is the only time you're likely ever to have the opportunity to make a profit on this, but the interest will ebb quickly, and soon enough you won't have any takers. I said all of this in my first post.

I know I read it. Just saying I think it's intrest will ebb a lot quicker then it seems people are giving it credit for.

Just toss a shout out in Jeuno or something, and let people name their own prices. Selling it for anything over 500 gil is a profit, right?

I really wish the chococards stated your chocobo's stats, abilities, and color. For the time being I just go outside and call mine if needed, but that won't work while I'm afk.
