  • Chocobo in love

So yesterday Zopago told me my chocobo looked like he "had his head in the clouds" because he was in love. He looks all sad and distracted. Apparently according to SE being in love is a status ailement!

Anyway I am not sure what to do to get rid of the problem. I guess I should just breed it with any other chocobo? I am not really interested in breeding, I just want to raise one choco to ride. Anyone else having this problem?

Ice Cream social + Barry White CD?

In all seriousness, I don't know. When it's irritated, racing it against that Black Chocobo cures it. When it's sick, the tokopekko grass cures it. I guess breeding or socializing with other chocobos might help?

Only one thing to do. You gotta put him down before this ailment spreads to the other birds in the stables. Otherwise we could have an epidemic on our hands

But seriously, I would think that having him breed would be the answer. Besides, if you let him breed, then you have a new egg ready and waiting for you when the time comes to retire him, right? So if something happens and you don't like the result of your first bird for whatever reason. Hes already provided you with a second chance for free, and you can do something different to make the next one better.

        Re: Chocobo in love

I shouldn't have made that joke, as Miracle Heart is now afflicted with love.

So, I ask, has anyone tried solutions to restore their chocobo's status and have had it work?

Has the chocobo returned to normal after breeding?

Has a medicinal grass or Celerity Salad cured them? (I know, no cure for love, but...)

I was just wondering if anyone's gotten anything to work already, but I'll try some tests soon to see what's up.

          Re: Chocobo in love

I didn't know what to do so I just ignored it basically. After two days he was fine. Not sure if breeding would have speed up the recovery time.

            Re: Chocobo in love

Perhaps if you mated your chocobo at that time you would get better results? Ew.. "better results" in breeding sounds so wrong..

It does sound wrong but you might have a point. When my chocobo is bored and I race her, she always wins, but when I race her on a normal day she always loses, except for the one time she tied.

For those with lovestruck chocobos, has anyone tried setting their Care Plan to "Playing with Chocobos"?
