Hmm Chicken breeding......

I seriously have little to no interest in this subject what-so-ever but I did the quest anyway, mainly because I was lfp on drk for 8 hours but also just to see what everyone was getting so excited about

So I did the quest, got the egg etc.... went on holiday for a week. I've been back for a week and I have yet to check on my little chicken. Will it be dead? If it is have they introduced a taxidermist NPC so I can have its little corpse stuffed and hung on my MH wall above my model airship.

I'm not condoning animal cruelty, far from it, I love all animals........ REAL ones. I view virtual pets in pretty much the same way I view virtual sex, completely pointless. Anyway the question is; should I book a slot in the Vanad'iel Times obituaries for my little KFC value bucket or will it simply be in a coma sucking away my gil on an expensive life support system?

No, it probably just won't care for you very much. The people at the stable give it enough food and attention to keep it alive by default.

Well, it's not entirely pointless since you'll be able to ride it eventually. But otherwise - yeah.
