  • Molimo's Chocobo Experience!

(This will be a guide/story on my Chocobo, EmperorObsidian. As the chocobo progresses, I'll add more information and possibly reasons for behaviors, and other things, such as a color-system, personality-system, and many other great information!)

I'm new to the forum, and I'd like to add my information on my lil EmperorObsidian! So far, everything is going normal, even at Day 14.

Day 1: Still an egg, wants to get out. Watched over it twice. Basic Care.

Day 2: Still an egg, wants to get out. Watched over it twice. Basic Care.

Day 3: Still an egg, wants to get out. Watched over it twice. Basic Care.

Day 4: Hatching Day! It's a little yellow chick. Named it EmperorObsidian. Watched over it twice. Took it for a walk, got my first CS. It was happy to see me, wiggled it's tail. It wasn't hungry. Basic Care.

Day 5: It's a little yellow chick. Watched over it twice. Took it for a walk twice. It was happy to see me, wiggled it's tail. It wasn't hungry, nor full. Switched plan to a Take a Walk in Town.

Day 6: Watched over it twice. Finally fed it Gyshal Greens. Today, it was only happy to see me, but made no movement. After feeding, it was satisfied. Plan remained Take a Walk in Town.

Day 7: My chocobo has been crying at night, and I've recieved the white hankerchief (Theory: It's a CS that's supposed to happen on the 7th day.) I walked around, did my daily business, came back later (much later) and he took the Hankerchief. Today, it was happy to see me. Hungry nor full. Watched over it twice. Took it for a walk twice. Plan remained Take a Walk in Town.

Day 8: It was happy to see me. Watched over it twice. Today, I fed it Azouph Greens, and it seemed to like those a lot. Took it for a walk twice. Switched the plan to Listen to Music for only 1 day. It sleeps soundly now.

Day 9: It was happy to see me, made movement. Watched over it once today. Took it for a walk twice. Switched the plan to Rest (Risked). Neither Hungry nor Full.

Day 10: It was sleeping peacefully today. Watched over it twice since I couldn't walk it. Next plan was Take a Walk in Town. Nothing new has happened.

Day 11: Missed today. My Chocobo had fallen ill. Said Tokopekko Wildgrass would help fix it. Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Day 12: Checked it today. My Chocobo has recovered from the illness, though weakly chews on the Gyshal Greens. Watched over it once. Took it for a walk once. It was happy to see me, no movement. Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Day 13: It was happy to see me, made movement. Trainer said it had been waking up early, however. (This was new, but I have no idea what it means yet.) Watched over it twice. Took it for a walk twice. Fed it Gyshal Greens. Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Day 14: Still have yet to recieve a 2nd CS. Breakthrough! My Chocobo has been recieving plenty of affection, and seems extremely happy. It is in excellent condition now! It still remains with no definite personality. Instead of being happy to see me today, it says, "Your chocobo is in high spirits!" (Supposedly, this is the best mood a chocobo can be in.) Watched over it twice. Took it for a walk three times today. Neither hungry nor full. (Just noticed! My chocobo's eye color has changed from a brownish to a blackish. Perhaps preparing for teen years? Perhaps signifies a colored chocobo?) Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Day 15: "Your chocobo seems to have had its fill and has calmed down." Not sure what this means. All stats remain poor. It regards me as its parent. No personality. No preference in weather. Watched over it twice. It was happy to see me, made movement. Took it for a walk three times, acquired second CS! Apparently, the timing is either random, or on a count of how many walks you take. IE: 1 Walk gives you the first CS. 15 Walks gives you the second CS (not really, just an example). Fed it 2 Gysahl Greens. It is quite full. Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Day 16: Still a chick. New theory is that perhaps the adolescent days are equal to the number of chick days, resulting in adulthood at 30. So the egg was 4 days, which means that the chick stage would have 13 days. Perhaps adolescence begins at either Day 17 or Day 18. Stats remain poor (Another theory suggests that it's supposed to be like this throughout the entire chick stage. In human adolescent years, they begin to get as strong as adults). Regards me as it's parent. No personality. No weather. No abilities. Fed it 2 Gysahl Greens. Chocobo is quite full. Took it for a walk three times. Watched over it once. It was happy to see me, made movement. Plan remains Take a Walk in Town.

Also, please send feedback. I'd like to know what you think, or if there have been different experiences with you and your chocobo.

My story is almost a duplicate of yours. I did get second CS on third walk.
I vary the feed and have not seen any stat improvement. My chick regards as parent and last 3 days has been in high spirits. I only walk once per day.

Pretty much the same as the OPs except mine is perky and in excellent condition.

Last night it said it would be receptive to whatever I give it, assuming that they meant food, I crammed 3 Zegrum carrots down it's throat. Ok, ok, it munched contently on the carrots. Still... fed it three when one would have worked.

              Re: Molimo's Chocobo Experience!

My story is almost exactly the same as yours. I think I would be on day 18 now. Im thinking that the chick wont reach adolescence until day 20 or so. Think about it. In human years, adolescence doesnt last as long as childhood.

                Re: Molimo's Chocobo Experience!

Day 19: My chocobo is finally an adolescent!!! It's a yellow chocobo with white tips (Perhaps it'll be the normal yellow). All stats remain poor. It regards me as it's parent. No personality. No weather preference. No abilities. Fed it one gysahl and one azouph green. It gobbles up the Azouph Green in a single gulp. It is completely full. The new features for caring are: Tell a story. Scold the Chocobo. Go on a walk (regular). Acquired a CS. Three men approached with a black-tipped chocobo. They have suggested a race. New option: Compete against others. I selected this option. My chocobo won! Almost all of it's energy is gone after those two options. I told it The worrysome chocobo. It was interested in the story. I didn't have enough energy to chitchat with it, but I watched over it once. It looks happy to see me, and wiggled it's feathers. New options: Exercise alone. Exercise in a group. Play with children. Play with other chocobos. Carry packages. Exhibit to the public. I've selected the option: Carry packages, but will only do this once out of three days. The other two days will remain "Take a Walk in Town" to improve it's strength and endurance.

Day 20: Took a Walk in Town. All stats remain poor. It regards me as it's parent. No personality. No weather. No abilities. Fed it one Azouph and one Gysahl Green. It is completely full. Took it for a short walk. Took it for a regular walk. Told it the story of a worrysome chocobo. He was interested in the story. Also selected some random chitchat, which it was also interested in. He is drained of energy. Plan for next day is Carrying Packages.

                    Re: Molimo's Chocobo Experience!

Day 21: It was bored and restless today. Zopago suggested I race it against other chocobos sometime. Stats remain poor. It wants to be with me all the time. The level lowered because the affection rate decreases greatly when my chocobo carries packages. No personality. No weather. No abilities. Fed it one Azouph and one Gysahl Green. It munched weakly. "I hope it gets better soon." It regards me as it's parent now, and it's completely full. I took it for a race, my chocobo won. I told it the story of a worrysome chocobo. It was interested in the story. I competed in a race once more. My chocobo won again, with half energy. "This would never have happened if Bashraf hadn't told the chocobo those foolish stories!" "That's not true! The chocobo always looked very interested in what I had to say! (to me)~ I'm sure your chocobo would be, too. You should give it a try sometime!" I've obtained the story of a happy chocobo! I watched over it once, but it looked irritated. Perhaps this is because of the restless mood it's in today. Maybe it'll get better tomorrow. Plan for the next day is Take a Walk in Town.

I don't have anything to say about my chocobo. but I have some advice: Try to give your chocobo a rest after every 2 days at the least. ^^ But to me it sems that you're doing pretty well with your chocobo.
