I think you make money in GS through desynthing. I know of a player that exclusively did this (hardcore style) and profitted nearly 80 million gils in a couple of months.

Yeah it's possible over the course of months, but so is any craft really.

Just over a 3 week span I accumulated 90 million profit from bone alone. My gsmithing can't touch that, and I know nearly every market well.

Of course all markets are suffering atm though, everything is slow.
