  • To Start?

When's a good time to start a craft? I'm only lvl 10 right now and I started doing a weee bit of fishing , but what I really want to get into is cloth and leather. Are those profitable crafts? And if not which is?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Re: To Start?

fishing is nice to start anytime. for other crafts, you should build yourself up a decent sized bank first. unless you farm all the crystals and ingredients yourself, it could get very expensive, especially at lvl 10.

cloth is very profitable, but also VERY expensive to level.
leather is profitable too and moderately expensive to level.

    Thanks Yyg!

Clothcrafting and Leathercrafting are decent profit crafts. The best profiting craft is goldsmithing but the cost to raise it to be profitable is insainly high. Clothcrafting you can actually start leveling as soon as you are able to kill Yagudo. The yagudo necklaces are great for a starter in clothcrafting and grass threads resulted from them work very well for the next levels up once you reached the limit the necklaces will get you too.

As for starting the best time just depends how you are planning to do it. You can work up a lot of money then just sit in town and work on it for hours, if you are going to do it this way then around lv. 40 is decent time to start. Or if you are farming your own material then anytime is fine.

        Re: To Start?

        Thanks for the advice guys.

        neighbortaru,

I do like to farm my ingredients myself, but currently I can't obtain certain items to do cloth because I'm in Sandy.

        Macht,

I really do wish I could hunt Yags down but as stated above I'm in Sandy. But I will definately hunt them down first trip to Windy.
