Is this key item worth having at all? On Lakshmi, the only dish of the 6 that require this that sells regularly is Carbonara, which is roughly equal to a Meat Chiefkabob with Store TP +4 added. The known stats of the other noodle synths are underwhelming, and less than 5 stacks of each have been sold ever.

What's interesting is the descriptions of 4 of the dishes hint that they would be best used by a certain type of character, but the effects of those foods don't fit the description at all. Nero di Seppia is "popular among black mages" yet it gives no casting related bonuses and double attack. Pescatora and Boscaiola are described as being good for fishermen and lumberjacks ...

Does anyone have any data on hidden or latent effects these foods might have if used in the right context? Something that might make them worth synthing, maybe?

Good question. I wish I knew. I've been testing vongole rosso, and it does "seem" like it has a magic accuracy bonus of some sort, but it's awfully subtle, and I have to fish my own vongola clams to make it.

I have no information on the other pasta dishes. Bosciaola is too expensive to make, pescatore I've made a few times, but it, too is horrendously expensive to make (and impossible if you cannot acquire some of the fish, like sandfish, yourself). Carbonara is selling slowly now on Midgardsormr, but it seems the most straightforward of the dishes. Pepperoncino is cheap and easy to make, but I have no idea what effect, if any, it's supposed to have.
