At 89+2 Leathercraft, I started making Amemit+1's, to my wonderful suprise, on Full Moon/Winds or Darksday, I got 50% HQ out of 14 synths(all at different times, but still under the same conditions). Since then I decided to level it up to 90. The day I hit 90 is the day my HQ rate plummeted. I thought I was just having a bad day when I went 1/8 under the same exact conditions. But then on another day of the same conditions, I went 1/7, then 2/12, 0/4, and last night, on New Moon darksday, 0/3. Could raising my Leathercraft skill actually hurt my HQ rate? I've heard the theory that being 11, 31, 51 levels over the skill cap of the item gets certain bonuses when you craft, and when I was at 89+2(Amemit cap is 60), It seemed pretty damn true. So now I've lost all the money I've made off of Amemit. Did I miss something in the patch that completely killed Amemit HQ rate?

Dunno ... I've heard all kinds of things with regards to crafting. Asian players tell me that every two hours in an in-game day, you rotate facing (according to zodiacal-directions) to get the best out of your crafting and that the element (zodiacal symbol) that your crystal is weakest to is probably a no-no time to craft.
Then, I hear that certain recipes have a built-in success/fail rate and that doing it at certain lunar phases will produce different results.
Then I also hear that eating a lucky egg increases your chances of HQ ...

HQing isnt a science, its luck. You can lean the luck towards your favor, but in the end I think it all events out.
I've got 6/6 HQ in a row, then 0/12 next. Shit like that happens.Comment
