New Moon?...or Full Moon?

I currently have my clothcraft skill at 60 (leather 40) and i just HQed me first seer tunic, yay for me ^^ hehe

but i would like to level my cloth to 70 now as ive saved enough funds to do so. 60-64/65 silk headbands. 64/65-70 blk choco fletchings. problem is that i dont know which moon phase is best for SKILLUPS. New Moon or Full moon?. to be honest im not really bothered about success rate, just skillups.

Ive read loads of topics about this on other forums but i havent managed to get a definite answer ; ;

From what I understand, skillups are most frequent on a new moon, but a full moon would be 2nd best. Any other moons are equally crappy. As far as which day to craft, for best skillups, craft on dark day. Crafting on the day your crystal is weak to ie. using earth crystal on windsday, seems to produce very few skillups (at least in my experience) although its best for HQ. Any other day will be about equal. *warning* this is all from my own experience, so it may not be the same for you.

Actually... I have found that for me... my best skill moon is Waxing/Wanning Gibbous moon 60-80%... I usually can get 1 lvl out of 36-40 syn which I find is reasonably good at 70's... Full moon actually have given me worse skill up for some reason =\

I used to skill up on darksday but i later found that with earth's syn i tend to get slightly better skill up on windsday... though when failed I usually have crit losses...

As far as I know New Moon is good for HQ... but I have also HQ a lot one watersday (on earth syn).. and the moon happen to be exactly 33%... I actually manage to HQ a Field Tunica (69 syn) and I am only lvl 70... I have been waiting for 33% moon ever since...

Also... Black Chocobo Fletchings tends to give better skill up than battle bracer in the first place (at least for the 60 or so syn that i make thinking i wasn't lossing money because of an miscalculation...)

Earth isn't weak to Lightning. Earth is weak to Wind. It goes like this:

Fire > Ice > Wind > Earth > Lightning > Water > Fire

So, Ice is weak to Fire, Wind is weak to Ice, Earth is weak to Wind, Lightning is weak to Earth, Water is weak to Lightning, and Fire is weak to Water. Dark and Light are weak against each other. That's the elemental wheel and that's how elements work in this game. If you're crafting on weak/strong days that's what you need to keep in mind when planning things.

thx for the informative replies everyone. What about last quarter moon?... im going to craft later at that time.

I heard its decent for skillups.
