Guild Combos..

Hey everyone, I'm new to FFXI and I was wondering... which guild crafts complement one another the best? For example, I'm doing Blacksmithing and I'd like to know what I can pair it with to make good profit.

every guild has items that requires *supporting* crafts as well. And to make *every* item possible, you'll have to have a number of different support crafts. i'm not a smither, but i'd guess probably goldsmithing, leathercraft, and woodworking would be the support skills used most often.

There are certain crafts that are more inter-related than others.
For example, clothcraft have various syn that requires leather crafting and goldsmithing

For Woodworker, alchemy can make arrowheads and ink for shihei... a woodworker can also fix his own fishing rod which makes woodworking a good skill to have for fishermen

I am told that smithing is inheritly a cross craft, which means it needs a lot of support syn. But as metioned before smithing and gold smithing complements each other well as well.

Bonecraft makes many gear that require leather crafting too.
