Woodworking 62-70, help needed

I finished up darksteel bolts last night and so I thought I'd do demon arrowheads to 69. But then I looked at AH.

12demon arrowheads = 40k
12blk choco feathers = 2.5k
12arrowood lumber = 3k
12earth crystals = 500

total = 46k

This makes 4 stacks of demon arrows, but the going price of demon arrows is 7.2k a stack.

7.2k * 4 = 28.8k

This is a huge loss considering how many times I'll have to do it between 62 and 69.

Then I thought about repairing fishing rods, but thanks to botters the price of light crystals has broken 10k, not worth it.

Any suggestions from 62-70? or do I need to just suck it up and take the losses?

i did 2 levels of demon arrows (on bahamut) and realized the cost per synth is not worth it. There are other synths which loses a higher ratio per synth (like, 1000 for items, and sells for 300), but the overall cost/synth is a lot cheaper. Plus, bahamuts economy is weird in that its very hard for most crafts to level because it is controlled by the higher level crafters... also i should mention, imo, woodworking is the worst craft out of all of them... (64 currently)

I'm glad to see someone else noticed this. Demon arrows are a prime example of the messed up economy on Bahamut. I think I may try to tough it out ; ;

Get used to losing money, I think I've lost well over 500,000 gil net between level 59 and level 73 Woodworking so far, and it only gets worse at higher levels. Fortunately I can repair my Lu Shang's between 73 and 80, but that's also pretty slow.

Gl to you... i'm just happy that in Midgard demon arrows are 10k a stack so if I don't fail any, i'd only lose out on about 5k on the wood and the fletchlings.

I've been debating whether or not I even want to raise it past 60... though I sorta do. In the mean time I'm raising boneworking. Just not many good things to do from what I can see. But Yoga's post helped me think out a bit more of what to do.
