Quick question for the fishing pros :p

Howdy all, hope you're all doing well . I'm currently Lv33 fishing, and am wondering where the best place to Lv at the present moment is. Any help would be appreciated, perhaps a small guide on the spots best upto about Lv55 or so. Thanks a lot all!

Up to 55 Minnow in Sarutas for Bluetail or Shimp lure in Windy Woods/Water for Gold carp. Without Lushangs leveling past 55 will be extremely slow and painful.

33-35 is your next level range. If you haven't got a Lu Shang's Fishing Rod yet, Composite + Sliced Sardines works best here, or Sinking Minnow if you can deal with fewer bites but less money spent.

35-40, best recommendation I have is willow rod + sliced sardines on the Selbina-Mhaura Ferry. Buy LOTS of rods from vendor, bring stacks of sardines with you (can also buy from the guild on the boat, if I recall). Throw the rods away once they break (and they will break like candy... but you'll get skillups more often than any other method I know of in this level range).

40-45 can either be done in S. Gustaberg with same setup as before, Sarutabaruta (either) with similar, or take the plunge and fish for moat carp and sand fish in either Rabao, Eastern Altepa, or Western Altepa (warning: monsters in Altepa are pretty strong, don't try this if your main job is lower thanlevel 60).

45-50 has a few options, too. Composite or Mithran in Buburimu Peninsula with Rogue Rig for Shall Shells up to 53, or work sandfish in Rabao/Altepa as above.

50-55 is Bluetail either in Qufim, Sarutabaruta, or Buburimu Peninsula with Composite + Minnow.

After 55... well... good luck, and welcome to fishing Hell.

Oh doh! Sorry, I misread your skill as 53 :sweat:

Here is what I did, for very decent skillups.
At exactly 33 I left S.Gusta and went to the cliffs at the Sarutas.

33-40 Sliced Sardines as bait to target Ogre eels(35), Gold lobster(46), Bluetail(55) and Bastore bream(86).

40-50 At 42 I switched to minnow, and sometimes moved to the Lake at East Saruta with Worm lure for Monke-Onke (51, fish they ask for at lvl 48 guild test).

50-55 A mix of Minnow in Saruta cliffs and Shimp lure inside Windy.
