im sure there are 10000 posts about this since i have search, but have not gotten the answers in which i have seeked so im posting, i'm brining up all the main jobs together for now until i see which one suits me best, currecntly im using a lvl 7 WHM and i need cash, i would like to get into the fishing,mining,farming fields, but im not sure when to start cuz i hear ppl saying they are too low at lvl34 and im only lvl 11 also, i attempted to start fishig in bastok but the damn fish always get away or break my rods, am i using the wrong equipment, or am i suposed to be fishing somewhere else first?

also i have a pickaxe to mine, but i cannot, im not sure if im trying it in the wrong areas or whatnot, but i go to the mines and i cant use the pickaxe on anything, and as for farming, well i have no clue on how to start, oh and for the fishing, my equipment is all the stuff for fishing at the knicknack store -
At that level you really need to focus on exping, you don't need much cash yet anyway. Make sure you have signet and sell the crystals you get at AH along with any other loot, that should cover costs for now. If you need a bit of a boost farm some silk thread from crawlers around windurst.
If you want to start fishing any rod should do, put some little worms on it to start with and fish in the sea (not from San d'Oia) for Bastore Sardines, the money isn't great for quite a while but if you want a little more from them you can hand them in for a quest at Windurst fishing guild for 70 gil each but you need to zone after each hand in.
Mining, logging and harvesting always need to be done at certain points and can be hard to find. There's also often alot of competition for the various points so it may not be worth it until you can go to some of the higher level places where there's loss competition.
