Post lvl 69 (demon arrows) lvling woodworking becomes extrodinarily expensive. You can repair/synth clothpoles up to about 77, but what to do after that? I'm no fisher myself so lu-shang repairing is pretty much out of the question.

my choices are:

1) Repair mithran rods to 83, then synth mythrian rods to 87 but rainbow thread is incredibly expensive.

What to do after that? I can't imagine skilling off synthing mythic poles or lacqur tree lumber, though I suppose eight sided poles wouldn't be too bad after i bring up my smithing a bit.

Any super high level woodworkers overcome these obstacles without spending millions? I want to eventually be able to supply some cursed equipment and HQ synths of some staves.... but its not looking real good on my wallet right now. :confused: :confused: :confused:

If you're a Thief or have access to Treasure Hunter, you can take some friends and hunt for Dolphin Staffs and upgrade those into Whale Staffs. It just needs an Ash Lumber + Dolphin Staff to make so not all that expensive. It also caps at skill 87 as if you were making a Mithran Rod but I think this is cheaper even if you buy the Dolphin Staff. By the way, the monsters that drop these are Slash Pines in Ordelle Caves. It's not all that common a drop but it's not that rare either so you might be able to get 4 or 5 to drop every hour or so. I haven't tried hunting them so i'm not really sure but this is just something I thought i'd suggest.

If you raised your bonecrafting up to 53+, you can make Kabura Arrows up to skill 91. I actually would suggest taking bone up to 60 anyway just so you can make your own Demon Arrows to use in battle. Quite a bit cheaper this way I believe and makes you look rich Oh, recipe for Kabura Arrows is this:
Bamboo Stick + Kari. Arrowhd + G. Bird Fltchg + Ram Horn + Earth Crystal

I haven't done too much research so not sure how expensive that recipe will be but it seemed cheaper then others. After the Kabura Arrows, the best path seems to be with making Lacquer Tree Sap using the Lacquer Logs + Water Crystal. This will take you to 96. From here till 100, you might want to try an Iron Splitter (2 walnut lumber + adaman ingot). I saw someone making Cythara Angelica instrument for skill before so you might want to try this first if it's cheaper. Recipe is Ebony Lumber ×2 +　
Coeurl Whisker + Ancient Lumber ×2 + Earth Crystal. It caps at 98 skill.

I haven't tried these out myself and these are just theoritical skillpaths but I hope it helps out at least a bit.

what level would dolphins be good to start making? If it caps at 87 skill its most likely going to fail a lot when i stop synthing clothpoles at 77... I don't know anybody with a lu-shangs so i don't know what I can do with that gap between 77 to 80...

i do plan to get my bonecraft up higher but kari arrows are very expensive to make (even arrowheads are expensive) but that may be my only choice at 87

after that I'll look into lacqur tree logs.... not doing too much with it right now.
