n00bie crafting

Well, Im new to the whole concept of FFXI, Im lvl 9 and I understand MOST of it.. But a friend in my LS told me about crafting, Now I don't "Rake" In money yet seeing im only level 9.. But I need money :\ what do you guys *and girls* suggest for someone new like me? :confused:

At lvl 9?
You should farm things.
Crafting isn't good or even mediacore money until the higher levels, and it takes quite a bit Gil to get to those high levels.

So for now, just farm things.
If your hometown is Windurst, then you should go into West Sarutabaruta and kill all of the crawlers you find. Keep the silk threads they drop and sell the stacks you get at the AH for 9k-12k per stack. And if you want, you can use the Crawler Calculuses they drop for a quest by the Dhalmel Farm in Windurst Woods (given by a mithra there, i forgot the name and pos). 3 Calculuses gives you 600 Gil and some fame, and a new title.

if your hometown is somewhere else, i don't know what you should farm. i would just recommend keeping everything stackable you find and sell it all at the AH. some things will be worth more, and you should just focus on getting those.

remember, your gear doesn't have to be perfect, you just have to be good at your job. Try to get anything with INT+ or MP+, but don't bother with HQ items yet (although if you want to go for one or two, that's good too ).
