  • So, um, what can I do with 60 alchemy?

I'm kind of on a downturn since pling my skill, and I need a good bit of gil. I've been hoping that doing all this could have gotten me somewhere, but all I seem to be able to profit on are tsurara HQs (to vendor, after farming for an hour in beaucedine -_-) and Wax Swords +1 (which sell slower than an Arete Del Sol on Bazaar in Ghelsba).

Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? Should I just keep up alchemy and make gil in other methods in the meantime? Or is there something I'm overlooking?

    Thanks in advance.

You're kidding, right? Level 60 alchemy and you can't find synths to make money? :p

    Black Ink
    Echo Drops
    Silent Oil
    Prism Powder
    Sairui-Ran
... just to name a few.

Out of all the synths I've tried, the only ones that seem to make a decent margin in are level 1-10 synths. My luck just may be piss poor, but I attempted to synth Mokuto +1s, and ended up with only one +1 out of 10 :dead:

I just can't get the end products to justify the cost--that and the fact that it takes up AH space makes me wonder what the heck the purpose is.

        Welcome to crafting.
Find a recipe noone is making, abuse that until others catch on then find another. Everytime it becomes common knowledge a recipe gives a nice return it turns to crap due to oversupply.

Still, with HQs you should be able to make several recipes without loss. I actually powerraised my Alchemy from 0 to 60 at a profit (took 2 days total, selling stuff off took a week), just need to keep your eyes open.

Depends on your server, it is possible that you can't make profit in alchemy with 60 skill. If you have a lot of 60s and 70s alchemist on your server, the margin on those 20-40 skill potions is out of hand.

When I started doing alchemy, I can make a profit on silent oil, prism powder without HQ syn. These days I need HQ to break even from time to time.

I don't know how others luck is, but for me, I didn't start consistently HQ syn silent oil until 90s in Alchemy. Prism powder, I still make more regular ones than the HQ ones. (25% or so I guess).

Don't overlook antidote, blinding potions potential profit either. You'll only get profit if you HQ syn on them though.
