cant seem to fish up sandfish with rogue or sabiki rigs

i looked at 2 different fishing website and both say that sabiki rig can be used to fish up sandfish in rabao, i went there yesterday to try it out and all i got was u didnt catch anything msg.

i checked some other fishers there and some were using rogue rigs i tried that and nothing better.

any idea what lure i can use to catch this fish?

(the moon cycle was 95% after full moon i think)

Sandfish (level 50) are very, very fickle. You won't get very many of them until at least level 40 Fishing (+equipment). If your skill is lower, expect your bite rate to be astronomically low.

Bite rate for different baits on Sandfish:

Insect Paste > Little Worm > Sabiki Rig

Note that the Little Worm will attract Giant Donko in Rabao, so if you're using Little Worms, use a large rod or you risk breaking your rod. Also, Sandfish have a chance to snap your line on a carbon fiber rod (albeit small) so if you're using a Sabiki Rig, bring extras.

my fishing is 43+4 rite now, just not getting any bites

tried comp rod with sabiki rig, any idea how often they bite with this set up?

Bite rate on sandfish ranges from bad to terrible at that level. Also, the composite rod is a large fish rod, and while it won't break or snap a line when using a sabiki rig.

Even the last few levels for me from 46-50 took an incredibly long time. Of all your options, insect paste still works the best, but it still pulls up ~6 moat carp for every 1 sandfish you'll catch.

The people you see using rogue rig there are not fishing for fish, but are fishing for rusty caps. Rogue Rig only has a small chance for catching fish, otherwise people use it exclusively for fishing items.
