  • Skill Ups slow for low cooking lvl

Currently im lvl 13 in cooking making Seblina Butter, from some reason i went threw almost 1 stack of Ice Crystals with only 1 skill up of 0.1..... Generally 1 stack of anything would give me a few skill ups.

Was it possibly the time of day or just bad luck, or maybe the dam moon wasn't aligned with the stars :-)

    Thanks

The moon actually DOES have an impact on skill ups. Next time its a full moon in game try it and see.

In any case i've had similar luck in Alchemy at times. Sometimes 2 stacks of ingredients will give a total of 0.5 skill ups.

Sometimes ive had total of 2.5.

It sucks when you spend tons of cash for 0.1 or something daft though

Day of the week plays a huge part as well...

If you were trying to craft the butter on firesday, you would get almost no skillups because ice is weak to fire. I find even on the day of the crystal you're using it's tough to get skillups.

Best days of the week to craft are light (if you are trying to craft something several levels above yours), dark (for skillups, but high fail rate), and the day your crystal is strong to. IE. craft selbina butter on windsday. (Ice > Wind) of course Full and new moons affect crafting in a different way. Full moon is great for skillups and success rate, while new moon increases HQ success rate.
