Fishing LVL Time Frames

1st Post be nice :-)

My current skill lvl is 10 fishing at Port San. I realize it takes time to raise your skill. I currently fish about 2 hours a night. With that said what type of time frame am i looking at to raise skill into the 20's-30's

I will also be picking up fishing gear to help me out

What does moon phase do? How do I check it? What about day of week? Weather? Time? Huh?
You can always check the current time and date in Van'adiel by using the /clock command in-game. In addition to the current Van'adiel time, it will also show you the current moon phase.

MOON

Moon phases range from 0% (New Moon) to 100% (Full Moon), and cycle like so:

New Moon (~0%) -> Waxing Crescent (~25%)
Waxing Crescent (~25%) -> First Quarter (~50%)
First Quarter (~50%) -> Waxing Gibbous (~75%)
Waxing Gibbous (~75%) -> Full Moon (100%)
Full Moon (100%) -> Waning Gibbous (~75%)
Waning Gibbous (~75%) -> Last Quarter (~50%)
Last Quarter (~50%) -> Waning Crescent (~25%)
Waning Crescent (~25%) -> New Moon (~0%)

Generally speaking, the best times to fish are during New Moon(0%) and Full Moon(100%) phases. The farther the cycle is away from those two endpoints, the less that fish tend to bite the hook.

TIME

The current game time has an effect on how often fish will bite.
05:00 to 06:00 (dawn) Fish are very active
17:00 to 18:00 (dusk) Fish are very active
18:00 to 05:00 (night) Fish are slightly more active than during daytime
