+1 Equipment synthisising into + 1 ?

Just a Question that have been bothering me for quiet a while.

Does using a +1 equipment, in Synthisising, result in a +1 verison of the upgraded equip?

for instance take the LvL 69 Admiral Shield which is a +1 version of the Genral's shield. If one used the Admiral shield to create the Koenig shield, will the result be Kaiser shield? if not would the possibility of a +1 be even increased ?

Sadly, no.

Not only does a High Quality ingredient not make a high quality synthesis, but the high quality ingredient cannot be used at all to make the synth.

Example: Blind Dagger = Bronze Dagger + animal glue + blind potion

Using a Bronze Dagger +1 would result in a "This combination of materials cannot be synthesized" message. +1 Items also cannot be turned into the guild for guild points, either.
