Mining experience miners plz help

hi guys ive been mining for abit now i mine at the grotto in ghelsba i every run i would get say some irons some zincs 1-2 dark steels and if im lucky 1-2 gold ores

i was reading awhile ago some ppl get like 50k per run im like wow ok i gotta start mining but im getting around 18-20k runs thats if i get gold ore and dark steels along with irons and zinc

also i wanted to know where do u mine for Platniums ores besides Palborough mines (that place is horrible to mine at) i went there i found very VERY few mine spots and got hardly nothing most i got was a mythril ore afew irons i heard u could get platnium ores there ???

am i doing anything wrong? how come i can get 50k runs other ppl were saying they can mine 4-500k a night

as far as i know its all a luck facter..some things will increase ur "luck" in mining... for one u got the Field boots gloves and body equipment...then u got ur lvl...the higher it is the better ur off......o and as far as i know Pal. Mines is only place for Platinum. unless Gusgan has it

You seem to have much better luck then i do. With 2 stacks of pickaxes, the feild tunic, boots, and gloves i usually get 1 darksteel or gold ore, 1 or 2 colored stones, and lots of iron and tin in the caves near ghelsba.

gusgen is one of the best place's to mine and where alot of people make big money on mining run's
darksteel and gold is kind of common there.

when i goto Gusgen Mine's i usually take 5 stack's of pickaxe's
and leave with 4-5 chunk's of gold and dark steal ore (IE. 3 darksteel and 2 gold)

I think the best mining run i've ever had there was 7darksteel and 4 gold ore's.

on my server thats 42k for the darksteel ore and 26k for the gold ore's.
thats 68k not including the iron ,silver ,brass ,steel ,bronze ingot's and colored stone's.

you really need to be level 45+ to mine in gusgen without aggro unless you stick to the 1st part of the mines near the entrance where lower level mob's are but theres only about 5 mining points in that area , they still yield gold and darksteel though.

The people who claim 500k a day are mining at Ifrit's Cauldron.

Personally I started mining in gusgen at lvl 20 as a whm, cause pretty much everything aggros sound EXCEPT the bomb, so provided you keep a safe distance from those you'd be fine. Mining gear (Body, hands and boots) seem to help a bit, I dont get quite as much breakage as I used to, but again it's all luck based anyways. Normally I bring about 3 stacks of pickaxes with me into gusgen and can come out with a full inventory consisting of an obscene ammount of iron, and a few darksteels and occasionally gold and silver as well, on average netting about 20-30k.

If you REALLY want to maximize your mining time and such, work your gold and black smithing up to 20+ and bring 2 or 3 stacks of Fire crystals with you. Just keep smelting all the silver, tin, iron, etc etc and you'll come out pretty well loaded, as the ingots net quite a bit of profit as well.

Either that's wrong, or that's a load of BS.
45 (I think) is the minimum level NOT to get aggro at Gusgen. At 20, you'd get aggro from skellys.
At 30, Ghouls would aggro you.
At 40, I think you still get aggro from Banshees and stuff.

I'm 56 and I still get aggro in there, from that weapon that sometimes spawns in the big room.

lol speaking of that mog house upgrade.... i got the 1st upgrade quest <not exit..mog safe/storage> and ...is there a time limit on it cause im a lil broke and i cant by the power bow..........help me out plz....send pm or just post...thx in advanced

alot of factors play to actually how much you walk away with. inventory space is big here. i will walk into the mines with 2 stacks of pickaxes, an a full set of feild gear. thats it 6 slots total i would take up. that left a total of 44 open for ore. plus what you sell your ore for will make a difference in net gain...

another factor is your choice of ore, i have been known too toss zinc, an silver ore. in hopes of landing an even better more expensive ore. an that rolls right into luck factor. some days you will be getting some very good ores. other days just a bunch of crap. one time i had the axe break in the same spot 4 times, an on the fifth one i struck a adam ore. its about 150k in jeuno right now.. its alot of luck a lot!


as for making 20k. thats very good. in 5 days you make 100k.

ya 20k isn't bad hehe. I also tend to chuck zinc and silver atm because i have been getting more and more gold and darksteels. I wouldn't mine without the gear myself, its a huge help.

I can't believe people are chucking silver ores. I mine in Gusgen ALL the time so here is my advice...

Get both your blacksmith and goldsmith levels up into the teens so you can synth iron/silver ingots. Bring 2 stacks of fire crystals with you to synth ingots on the spot to free up inventory. You can totally maximize your mining results.

I usually bring 2 stacks of fire crystals, 5 stacks of pickaxes, and field gear to Gusgen and I can mine for 2-3 hours. I can easily pull in 50K profit everytime. One time I was able to come back with 11 darksteel, 2 gold, 3 rocks and other ores (which I synthed) for over 100K profit in 2 hours. Once you start selling stacks of ingots, you can make some pretty coin on those too. If you don't synth ingots, I would suggest having a mule to sell your stuff.

Also, I recommend having 50 spaces in your bag before you mine hardcore.

WHM Gets sneak at lvl 20. You can still mine with sneak on, just not invis, so dont go to the very bottom room with the bombs, and you can stay there for quite some time, as long as your careful.

i found afew mines spots in pal mines in the 2nd lvl didnt get much spots though moved from pal never went back there so much for platnium ores...

what mines has adam ore?

also does anyone know if worker gear will improve your mining skills more then field gear? coz worker gear is like 3 times more epensive

anyway i got 4gold ores 1 drk and heaps or irons and zincs i made like 40ish k BEST RUN EVER that was at ghelsba
