Chocobo Digging

Hmm... I read we can dig what the Gob Digger hid, but how? and any advice on chocobo digging...?

follow a goblin digger and after a (long) while it will make a dig animation, dig at that exact spot, if not the exact spot it will say something like "you sense that something is burried close by" and you have to try again inching towards the right spot until you get it, but I don't know if it's worth it really. The goblin stuff never sells for much cash, and I think anybody knows what it is for except a quest that pays very little like 500gil for 8 items.

For normal digging, I just ride around like a chocobo on crack, then digging everywhere? or do I get the 'You sense something near by'?

Not sure what you asked just now but you can have this answer

It might be possible to get a sense thing during normal digging but I very much doubt it, the radius for getting the sense thing is very small. So do not count on getting a goblin item from normal digging.
