anything wrong with wat im doing?

ok, so i have a carbon fishing rod and use insect paste as my bait.
my goal is to get stacks of moat carps, i am currently fishing in windhurst wall near the fountain.

also, i am lvl 1 fishing.

any advice on what im doing?

I usually fish in windurst waters or windurst woods for moat carp with the same thing you have.

You'll pull them up regularly, though there is a chance your rod will break. Your broken rod should sell high enough that the difference between it and the new one is significantly less than the amount of money you earned fishing.


It may also be better to fish in Port Windurst with either little worms or a sabiki rig. There you'll catch quus, seaweed, and bastore sardines. The sardines should sell in windurst, though the price will be highly dependent on time and number of fisherman on your server... but usually they're between 400-800(extreme) gil. Also, a carbon won't break in Port Windurst, and the fish will skill you up.
