All Miners....Ifrit's Cauldron

I always treated songs and ninjutsu as magic... was afraid I'd get aggro'd and was never in the position to rest it out.

I was like, "Hmm, it aggros to magic, this Ninjutsu spell is under the magic menu... oh well I'm screwed!"

Oh well, good to know now, I'll have a easier time w/certain things now that I know that, thanks!

I figured the poster out! I know why he wants PM...! Sorry but you don't know how to make "leet gils" in the Cauldron, so, you want someone to help you w/it but, then, don't want it to say it aloud so that someone is on your server might hear it and do the same as you! ~lol

You want people to share their way of making gil to you, but, you won't share it w/anyone else. ~lol

Two words: WHITE_MAGE.
Wouldnt mine there as any other class.
Even a properly equipped level 75 couldnt handle himself well in there, in fact, thered be times hed get his ass handed to him.

Bah, RDM get Invis/Sneak too y'know, but that makes little difference when a good deal of monsters there aggro to magic, now does it? You NEED Prism Powders/Sneak Oils to mine there.

you can cast invisible/tonko over yourself without cancelling it restart it

this does not work with sneak

Yea, casting invis/tonko or useing a prisim powder will uninvis you to perform the action, so you automatically get it recasted. Since sneak doesnt wear off on that, you need to do it manually (i hate hitting the wrong button and watching that silent oil getting used 2 seconds too early ><)

I tried mining there today, but finding points kinda sucks, how can I get past the flame sprout? Just engage it? I havent done it since it's guarded by some bombs.

True for the rdm part, but ive never had any probs before avoiding casting near spell aggro mobs there.
When you find a clear spot, remove buffs and then sneak/invis again, although i will admitt the mp really starts to get dangerously low sometimes.

I belive you need a Water Cluster, or Ice Crystal, and trade it to the flame spout to get past it.

Trade an Ice Cluster to the flame sprout. However, you can't trade while invis so watch out for the bomb. Another way is you can just wait until flame sprout goes down. It'll take a few minutes.

Do you need to be in the line of sight of a bomb for it to aggro you by magic as you cast a spell?

Just need to make sure, cause sometimes I have two bombs on each side of me, but they're facing the other direction so I'm ok.. but then sometimes I see one off in the distance, facing me, and it comes and kicks my ass as I begin casting a spell =/

and go ifrit cauldron for some boring mining and make cash.

From what I hear of mining in Ifrit's Cauldron: its hit or miss. Either you hit the jackpot and get Adaman Ore, or you get Bomb Arms and maybe a Darksteel. (and if you want Darksteel, there's safer places to find it) I might try it out soon with my RDM. (I'll have Sneak and Invis, plus I can 2hour and Wapr out if I mess up) Perhaps it will indeed be worth the constant threat of spiky doom.
