For those who had bought the Mining Gear Set:
Does it really help you get precious items or not?
I heard my friend says that it only cause the "copper ore" to apeear more often !!

Depends on how you look at it.

It does NOT increase the chance of rare items it just decreases the amount of times you have to mine one spot and decreases your breaks. Now in Ifrit's Cauldron this is incredibly helpful because you don't have much time on a point before a bomb comes to play. In the long run you will save money on pickaxes if you are mining in a non agro spot.

Aye, that is what I meant. It doens't necessarily help with rare ores but it certainly does help with your mining success rate.
