About a week ago my main surpassed my sub's limits, and I decided to mine and try crafting a bit.
In that time I've read alot about goldsmithing and have become a pretty efficent miner. In the last two days I've gotten 6 platinum ore. I use every gil I get on crafting now, mostly goldsmithing. Goldsmithing 34, Blacksmithing 10.
I can make mythril ingots, but they dont sell very fast unless I harshly undercut the AH. I have noticed that steel and darksteel sell quite a bit faster, and only take goblin or quadav gear for synthing.
I was wondering which of the two takes more gil to raise (cost me about 65k to go from 31-33 goldsmithing), and what level each becomes somewhat profitable. Also, if anyone can remeber approximately how much gil it costs to go from certain level ranges in either or both skill I would greatly appreciate it.
