Stuck at fishing T.T

It took me forever to get from 30-31 with catfish~ But now that Im 31, I dont know where to go. Im trying Dark Bass in Rollanberry with a Worm lure... but im not getting much at all. I would use minnow/sinking minnow but I'd just get more catfish. Am I catching the wrong fish? Should I go somewhere else/use another bait?

Also, if I ever DO get to 33, where should I go after?

Is fishing an efficient way of making money?

I mean $ over time measurement. I can farm 20K per hour or in less time, gather material and cook enough to make 15K (once they all sell), is fishing on average as good of money making method as farming and cooking?

All this talk about fishing and botting, almost make you think it's a big money maker, but I tried it long time ago, just couldn't make enough money for the amount of time I could stand it.

So I guess the question I want to ask is:

how much profit can a fisherman make on average per hour at:

Lv 10

Lv 30

Lv 50

Lv 70+

Fishing isn't super stellar money but with lu shang and currently 65 skill I make 20k+ an hour while doing homework, watching anime or reading a book.
Fishing moat carp you max at like 12k an hour.

Fishing is better for mage jobs than melee jobs I guess and as you're already 60+ I seriously doubt you want to invest the ENORMOUS amount of time needed to get as much gil in the same time with fishing.

(Record so far is 36k in one hour but that was by no means even close to an average hour. I don't have the woodworking skill for ferry fishing yet either.)

Lv 30 = 8k
Lv 50 = 12k
Lv 70+ = 20k+?

(I assume you mean level of the skill and not job level as job level doesn't matter much, a level 1 can fish in the sarutabarutas.)

I've fished with sliced sardine at the cliffs in sarutabaruta from 34 to 65 now, I'm certain you can start earlier. Friend of mine prefers sliced lobster but i find that way too expensive.

My biggest gripe with fishing in saru and gusta is the abundance of 'bots'.

And by 'bots' I mean 10-15 anon, no ls, lu shang wielding fishers at the same spot all day without moving. I dont find many fishes there.

heh im a lvl 7 fisher and i fish in west ron :0. i get moatcarp like crazy there and i get about 16kan hour so you can get a good 32k in about 2 hours. (average) make sure you have alot of bait tho.

Im stuck at 36~ I cant seem to move much at all. Ive been at jugners for way too long with barely any skillup on Shining trout (which is supposed to be good for 37).

Is there anywhere else I can go at 36? Im afraid of Guguru tuna or whatever, because it seems everything breaks on it. Other than that, all other fish seem way too high for me. Any sugggestions?
