You can get cooking to level 40 in less than 3 days (alot say one can do it in a day). I managed to do this with a 30k bankroll and I'm still going on that (supplemented by a lvl 27 fishing skill for some of the more annoying fish-related recipes).

I basically wanted cooking so I could make MP regen and MP+ stat meals so I'm a much more efficient mage in parties. Unless you can be bothered sitting around making millions and millions of stacks of insect balls, I'm not really sure it's very profitable

unfortunately, kobabs no longer make any appreciable amount of money on cerebrus. A stack goes for 2300-2400. Mean while, you got your cocktrice meat that cost 16K per stack, wild onion that goes for 5K, mhurra garlic goes for 1.5K, and kazahm pepper that goes for 1 K, and of course fire crystrals about 2K.

All added up, you spent 25.5K on the material. And you make 12 x 2400 = 28.8K if you don't have any failure at all. So 3.3K profit if you succeed 100% of the syn. And if you fail even once, you basically don't make any money at all. ><

It's not a big money maker any more, like when I first hit lvl 36 in cooking, and kabobs were going for 2.8-3K per stack....
