  • Using beast made items

I noticed that there is no info about recepies involving beast made items anywhere. Some mention using beast coins, but how do I use for example goblin helms?

These items sell really quickly at the AH, yet I don't know what I can do with them.

Yea, I wish I could find info on such crafts. Cause using beast-made material and break them down into raw can really boost profit than buying straight raw (or even farming it). BUT! watching the endless people fail (and not fail) can give an idea what each item makes.

Yagudo Bead Necklace + Wind = 3 Grass Thread (6HQ/9HQ+)
    Cloth 0-3

    Goblin Mask + Lightning = 3 Fiber Loop (6HQ/9HQ+)
    Alchemy(guessing 11+)

Goblin Mail Suit + Lightning = 3 Cotton Thread (6HQ/9HQ+)
Cloth (guessing 11+) (I've failed these quite a few times O.o)

Goblin Helm + Lightning = some kind of ingot (perhaps iron)
Blacksmith (Odds are it's an iron ingot) so what it takes to make one and add 5 to it.

Quav Backplate + Lightning = Darksteel Nugget? (or something)

everything else gets very very hazy, but you can guess on raw material cause the description may give you hints. Like a tonberry coat. "Made of linen" well that's a duh

    Tonberry Coat + Lightning = 3 Linen Thread (6HQ/9HQ+)

Everything else is a blur to me >.<

Goblin mask + wind = sheep leather

goblin armor (not mail) = sheep leather

You need clusters, not crystals for breaking down these items, right?

          You do not need Clusters.

          And a few corrections...

Goblin Mail + Lightning = Ingots
Goblin Helm + Lightning = Ingots

You can get skill up to 19 on these but expect to fail a LOT. Maybe 1 in 10 will you get a success in the teens.

The reason success is so low in the teens is that those recipes are minimum level 30. the Goblin Helm, Goblin Armor, and Quadav Backplate, +Lightning are level 30 smithing recipes. Farming/buying these things in mass bulk at that level and breaking em down with lightning crystals make an extreme profit- higher than any other recipe in any guild, yes even higher than goldsmithing.

Also Yagudo Necklace + Lightning Crystal = Copper Ingot.

Unless you actually NEED the copper ingots you're better off making the grass threads.

Omena, we've been talking about beast-made items for some time in the above-pasted thread. Should be info on it on all pages. Just ignore the main guide and skip to some of the replies that follow.

Goblin Helm + Lightning = iron ingot , HQ = steel ingot (LEVEL 21 smithing)

Quav Backplate + Lightning = Darksteel something ,i know someone level 53 smithing who fails on these 50% of the time.

                    Lightning: [Goblin Helm] =
(Bronze Ingot) or (Iron Ingot) or (Steel Ingot)

                    Lightning: [Goblin Mail] =
(3 Bronze Ingots) or (2 Iron Ingots) or (Steel Ingot)

Both of these recipes were trivial at 16-18 Blacksmithing, not some of the other numbers I've seen posted here. I could attempt them around 6, and I'd almost never succeed. Only around 14 did I start doing these and I rarely got skillups on them. At 27 Blacksmithing I fail 33% of the time on these recipes, I've never succeeded on Light Day so I no longer try. The odds of success are better towards a full moon and on Lightning Day or Dark Day. I've done a LOT of these... enough to get 48 steel ingots, and 72 iron ingots.

Quadov Backplates can yield Darksteel Ore, they can not be attempted until 41 skill, and are trivial at 49.
