Rogue Rig. Anyone have or tried one?

According to http://www.fishermanrods.net/ the Rogue rig can catch all sorts of fish, even freshwater like Moat Carp. But some people I've talked to said it's just a +1 Sabiki Rig and still only for saltwater.

So which is it? Very little information on this rig, I've checked all the major sites.

If it really does work in freshwater I dont think i'd mind paying the 18-20k for one. If it works like a Sabiki rig only in freshwater, imagine pulling in 3 Moat Carp in one cast. Would pay for itself fast

Anyone else try it yet? What fish have you caught with it? I would think a rod that costs 10k gil would be good .

Well, it catches jellyfish well in port jeuno, if you need to make mercury.

Has anyone tried using the rogue rig? I thought it was a required fishing level of 50s to actually be of any use.

Anyone over 51, who can give a better review of it?

It still sucks. Level 53 fishercat.
It might be useful in buburimu to catch shall shells.

I had just bought a Rogue Rig a week or so ago, but I'm only 27 fishing atm. I will reply w/ post-50 results when I've reached those skill levels.

Good job! I'm at lvl 30 now (+4 equip) and I went to the boat to fish for Tuna and Marlin yesterday. After breaking both my Mithran and Composite, I started re-evaluating the situation, lol. I don't want to loose too much money. What did you fish for between lvl 30 and 40? I'm considering using a comp rod with sinking minnow in South Gustaberg.

As for the rogue rig, I'm not getting much results from it at lvl 30. I barely get any bites.
