Tree cuttings?

What the hell do these do? are they plantable? and why are they so expensive?

ive had a look through the othe English sites i can find and cant see any mention of whats these are used for?

has anybody been brave enough (or rich enough ) to buy some and plant them?

Planted a tree sapling in a ceramic pot last night.
Full moon on a watersday.
Havent fed it yet.

I got the tree cuttings off a Gobbue in pashow and planted them, I'll let you know how it turns out, its only been a day and nothing yet.

Planted on friday morning and its now sunday night .
Tree is growing but still hasnt needed a crystal.

Looks as if this post died out awhile ago, but I just planted my tree cuttings, and am wondering how your's went, as it is about 2 months later....^.^

fed my tree 2 light crystals and havested on windday i believe .
yeild was 8 platinum nuggets. oh this was a brass pot

another tree i fed 2 light and also havested windday and got 5 dark crystals . this was a ceramic pot.

Both were planted on lightning day if i remeber correctly...

I have a 10 pot setup going now and im going to experiment with other different combos of crystals to see what happens.

From past experience each harvest has a randomness attached to it (causing wild speculation about what effects what) but if you look only at WHAT you harvest and not how much then it gets much simpler to rule things out, like the moon phase and such..
Personally the only factors that seem to have a real effect (the strongest) is day you plant, seeds used, crystals fed, pot used and day harvested. With the Pot, seeds and crystals used being primary among those.

Having tried several combinations where feeding otherwise identical plant/pot/crystal combinations day of feeding,moon phase, when the chicken is running acrosss the road, etc had generally very little effect on the final harvest. Thus making it very hard to pin down what if antything they might do to your harvest. Add in the inate randomness (same everything and still getting different harvests) and other than accounting for large effects you will waste a lot of time worying about something you really cant account for.

I just planted a couple tree cuttings into ceramic pots. I plan on feeding them dark crystals and see what happens. I'll keep you updated.

I will be surprised if you dont get darksteel nuggets from that combo.

Right now im trying to grow a tree sapling from a tree cutting. Im undecided if id sell it or grow it as the saplings are going for 30k a piece currently on my server.

Also Cactus stems grow ORE rather that the nuggets you get from cuttings.

I'm kinda cautious about posting this link, because of the problems that are already popping up with people price-cutting & market flooding ... but I'm hoping if you have the patience to garden tree cuttings you'll have the sense not to wreck the money-making factor. So take a look here:
