I've heard a variety of things. One person said it was luck and another person said that you have to be crafting something far below your skill level. Which is it? And when can I start making +1 stuff? (It looks a lot more porfitable then what I'm making now)

I don't know much, but I did make my first +1 item yesterday. It was a Headgear +1, and my weaving skill was about 4.5 (plus paying 30 gil for the advanced image support at the guild).
I was all happy and proud of myself until I tried the next one and broke the crystal and lost some thread :sweat:
So, it can happen even at a fairly low level! But so far, if I added up all the money I could have sold my crystals and Yagudo necklaces for vs. how much I've made weaving, just selling the items would have netted me a lot more money. Not that I mind, as I see crafting as a fun investment (much like the game itself) :spin:
