What determines the quality of the wood I get from logging? Is it based on woodworking skill level, or is it dependent on the logging point being used? Thanks

They type of wood, not quality, is dependent on where you cut your wood. I'm not too sure what you mean when you said quality.

Sorry, I was referring to the type of wood, so you answered my question Is there a list online where I can see what types of wood can be logged from each location around the world?

        Me too....

I'd love to hear an answer to this too.

And also if the day and the moon have any affect on it. Because it seems that sometimes I have really good days, sometimes I get nothing but crap...and other days I can have like, all 12 hatchets break in a very short period of time

Based on the Strategy Guide, it's :

East Ronfaure - Chestnut, Arrowwood, Maple, Ash = easy
            - Yew, Chestnut = hard

Ghelsba Outpost - Arrowwood, Maple, Ash = easy
            - Willow, Holly, Elm = hard

Jugner Forest - Arrowwood, Ash, Yew, Willow, Walnut = easy
            - Acorn, Echo Root, Oak = hard

Buburimu Plateau - Arrowwood, Lauan = easy
            - Holly, Echo Root, Rosewood, Mahogany, Ebony = hard

As your Woodworking goes up, your chance of breaking hatchets decreases, especially on the "easy" con lumber, although the "hard" con lumber will probably always have a chance at breaking the hatchet.

            Hope that helps.
