  • Adding + Stats to Crafted Gear

    Hi,
I've been browsing the forums for a while now soaking in the valuable information available out here. I couldn't find any details anywhere as to whether we can add + Stats, Resist, Skills etc to our crafted gear.

Something similar to Spell Crafting in DaoC.

I'd appreciate any input regarding this matter. From what i gather, this feature isn't available, hence people are nuts after Drops o.O

    Please lemme know :D

I see, so how do you go about upgrading gear with drops? I mean, how does ht eprocess work?
What kind of drops are we talking about? (Material or like to certains pecific crystals Drop)?
Do we take the drops + ANy crafter armor and synthesize it, or just combine them?

A little more detail would be appreciated, oh, and thanks for responding :D

I think that if you craft some items that if you are a high level or use good ingreidients you can create a high quality item. HQ. I'm not sure though. Could someone confirm this?

... read my reply please lol
generally it entails bonding some item to the equipment w/ an earth crystal
          ex: Tropical Punches/Cesti
Sheep Leather + Fruit Punches bound w/ earth crystal
lvl 81 tanner (can be crafted at this lvl w/ no support, it would be equivalent to an even challenge)
things like sniper rings can be made this way to

I did read your reply, just needed a bit of elaboration, the Tropical Punches exmaple helped alot.

Though i can't help but wonder, once you 'craft' these items, do they have a level on them? The Tropical Punches for example, at what level can they be used, or what's hte level of the item, or th eminimm requirement etc?

Basically, what i want ot know is, when we can start using such gear, heh

i've been looking at this stuff again, and was wondering if anyone has any other upgrade recipies.

Mainly looking for how to upgrade the bastok knuckles into Republic Knuckles, but there is next to no information out there about crafting with weapons and armor to upgrade them.

The ingredients are always the same, so that has nothing to do with HQ items. The chance to make an HQ item uses a formula involving the level req. to make the item(lets say Carrot Broth-Cooking level 0-) and your current skill. The higher the seperation between the two, lets say your skill is 20(meaning a 20 skill difference), the higher chance you have of making an HQ item(in this case being Famous Carrot Broth)

What the formula is, and whether or not the day has any factor in this is unknown to me, but that is the general getup.

edit: HQ stands for High Quality. Ever seen a Spartha +1 or a Sapara +1, well those are both the HQ version of their counterparts, Spartha and Sapara.

There are many situations where the HQ items are different names then their counterpart. Example: The HQ version of Fire Sword(LVL:18, 15/225) is Flame Sword(LVL:18, 16/221)

                note: (LVL:X Damage/Delay)
