32 - Clipper vs. Clipper | Batallia Downs [S] | I-10/J-10 Same mobs, same area, but now Clippers will pop EM, so you can use them for pets. If you run out of EM, just mandys or Ba's (birds). Don't try to look for Ba's however. There level range is awkward. at 32 I found a DC one, then just a few seconds walk in another direction I found a VT and IT one. They are not to depended on, so stick to mandys as backup. Pixie Coverage: Yes Monster: Lycopodium Level: 29-31 Aggressive: No (but they follow you often) Link: No Monsters that might kill you: No Monster: Clipper Level: 32-34 Aggressive: No Link: No Monsters that might kill you: Wight at night near J-10 zone. ------------------ 33-34 - Call Beast vs. Rock Eater | Grauberg [S] | E-12 or D-14 A change of playing style I took here. I had a little trouble finding a good camp for 33. Tried Lycopodium camp in Meriphataud Mountains [S]. They run along the northwest of the map, south of the OP. Lots and lots of them, but I still experienced the charming issue, even on DC mandys. So basically I said F this, and tried this out. Long story short, I went under the general understanding that worms = squishy, so I decided to try out a new way of leveling: get a jug and duo with my pet. My weapon of choice was the FunguarFamiliar (Seedbed Soil), and for this occasion I thought I'd try /DNC. I figured id survived longer if I relied on TP to heal myself. End result: 4k/hr solo. My basic strat was engage the mob for a few hits/few cures, then engage the pet. This allowed me to tank the mob more then my pet, reducing the amount of time (and money if you use food) to heal your pet. Also, I easily managed the damage. Beginning was clearly hard because you start with no TP and nothing to store TP on, but it was easy to get over 100, and from there it was just cruise control. Chain 3/4 was a piece of cake, and it was non-stop killing. These worms are 33-35. Rock Eaters also appear in North Gustaberg [S], but they are 32-35 (tested and researched). If your interested in that, those are located toward the path the non-existant Palborough Mines, after the river to the north. I can say you could experience the same success as I did in Grauberg [S] in North Gustaberg [S] but I did not try it out and I cannot confirm it. Pixie Coverage: No where in sight Monster: Rock Eater Level: 33-35 Aggressive: No Link: No Monsters that might kill you: A Goblin Pioneer roams around D-13/E-13. If you kill the worms at the bottom of the grid on E-12, be very careful as the gob does roam there. ------------------ 35-36 - Goliath Beetle vs. Goliath Beetle, Goliath Beetle vs. Carrion Marabou | Vunkerl Inlet [S] | E-7/F-8 Yet another safe camp. No mobs to worry about it. It's a short walk from OP drop point, and none of the scary IT++ monsters (crabs/pugs) will eat you for dinner. Beware there is a Haunt on your way to camp, but it's easy to avoid. I've gone from OP to camp and back several times and it was very easy to walk past without needing sneak. You're main camp is E-7/F-8. Beetles AND Birds both LINK, so be aware of that. The good thing is that you have a bit of versatility on where to melee your enemies. F-9 path, F-8 bridge, and E-8 path are all 100% safe. Also, a Pixie strolls around here too. But her path is fairly big; she flies from the top of grid F-9 all the way to F-7. Again remember to track her with wide scan; there is no need to look for mobs as they are all close together. At 35 you'd want to go find yourself beetles vs. birds. If you're running low on beetles (meaning if beetles are popping all T), go beetle vs. beetle to have them respawn. Alternatively you can just Charm > Leave, and wait for it to respawn that way. Another thing you can do is simply recycle pets if you are a little low on DC-EM beetles. After you kill a mob, Leave it in the spot you took it from and grab a new one; this way if your current pet dies, you can just run to the one you disposed of earlier as it should be to 100% HP already. Don't know if thats common knowledge, but I didn't know that prior so I'm sharing it now ^^. At 36, stick to beetle vs. bird, unless you start going low on birds and find a EM beetle to kill to keep the chain. Also note, if death is going to happen (as it did to me just now -.-), try to die at either the bridge or the E-8 path. If you have a Pixie like I do on my server, that'll be right in the path of where she travels. So in case you come ill-prepared and don't have RR (like I often do), this'll save you a trip. Special thanks to AstaraelTheSorrowful who had tested this camp before and confirmed it's reliability. Couldn't find a great camp with DC-EM-T mobs. Found several camps for possibly 38, which I'll be getting to soon enough. You can probably go here at 36, even 35 (maybe). Dhalmel's are 35-37, and there are about 15~ in this area. Nothing else either, just these dorky Dhalmels. There is a Pixes that patrols the area from the east that goes north and around the rock formation at J-5. There is also another one that comes from the west and stops around the middle of I-5 then heads back. At 37 is a little slow. If you can chain EMs try to as often as possible. Otherwise just take and of them and proceed to just kill over and over. BE CAREFUL! If you stay in the eastern most part of J-5, be very careful. There are Yagudos to the north of you at J-4. For the most part they are harmless and out of the way, but during Campaign they move south to J-5. Found this out the hard way...got mauled by 4 of them at once ; ;. Apparently this is the usually thing with normal Beastmen in the areas when Campaign starts; they move outside they normal areas and patrol. Additionally, if you are looking for Dhalmels for possible Leathercrafting, these are not the best mobs for this. Drop rate on Giant Femurs and Dhalmel Hides are terrible. I got one hide and one femur my entire journey from 37 > 38. However, they do drop Dhalmel Hair. This item only drop off these guys, and it'll run you 2,000G-4,000G on AH, depending on your server. If AH is annoying, they at least sell to NPC for 639-659~ a piece. Nice bit of change ^^. Anyway off to achieve 39! Pixie Coverage: Yes, almost double coverage. Monster: Savannah Dhalmel Level: 35-37 Aggressive: No Link: Yes. Sight. Monsters that might kill you: No (only Yags during Campaign) Comments: Special thanks to SirEagleStrike who had found this camp a while back for normal parties. ------------------ 38 - Land Pugil vs. Snipper, Snipper vs. Snipper, Snipper vs. Land Pugil, Land Pugil vs. Land Pugil | Jugner Forest [S] | G-5/G-6/H-6 Found a decent camp here. Mobs are a little spread out, but it's not too bad to kill chains. Preferably you want to find EM Pugs. Both of these mobs are 38-41 by the way. Pugils kills things much faster then Crabs do. You *can* do Crab vs. Crab, but expect a drawn out battle. I got at most a Chain 3 EXPing out in this area. If monsters are all T, just Charm > Leave and hope they repop at EM. When you go Pugil vs. Crab, the likely hood of your Pugil to survive is pretty high, so I suggest you recycle your pet and Leave him where you picked him up. Crab vs. Crab or Crab vs. Pugil does not have as high of a chance that your pet will live. Only other thing you need to worry about it Water Elementals that pop often. The more East you go, you're pretty safe from them. Generally the Ellys are not much of an issue; they are not in close proximity of fellow ellys and they do not travel that much, make them easily avoidable. Also, don't go too far south as you will encounter Biddybugs that'll eat you alive. Pixie Coverage: Yes. Covers most of your camp (just not H-6) Monster: Snipper Level: 38-40 Aggressive: No Link: No Monsters that might kill you: Only Water Elementals. Maybe Biddybugs if you go too far south. Just a warning, Hawkertraps are not that populated in this area (in the entire zone actually). You're talking about 4-6 in this camp. However, chaining up to at most 2 or 3 is highly possible. Just grab up some DC-EM crabs/pugs and put them on the Hawkertraps. Beware! Hawkertraps use Soporific, which is AoE Sleep. When you get your flytrap to roughly 15%, I suggested you get out of range (assuming your meleeing). Sleep sucks and could kill a possible chain if your still slept after the mob is dead. I also suggest you charm pugs over crabs. Pugs, overall, make the fights a little faster then crabs. In addition, in this camp most of the mobs you're going to charm are DC-EM for some reason. But /check them anyway because a T tends to spawn once in a while. Pixie Coverage: Yes. This camp is rather dangerous if you get a little careless. Goblin Skirmishers roam around the road, but should be very easy to dodge. Also, they are rangers, so running away from them is easy. Goobbue Farmers tend to wander on the road also, but they too are easy to avoid, and from the entire length of the road path you'll probably run into like 4-5 of them. The biggest risk of this camp is that bees link by sight and they move very often. I highly suggest you sub NIN, because of all the subjobs I found it has the best survivability. I tried /WHM and /DNC but died so much ; ;. /NIN so far I'm doing great. By the way, these bees hit hard, like 50-120, and that's not even critical hits. Also be sure to bring some sorta of pulling weapon/skill. You'll notice there are stone walls along the road path. If its possible, try to pull your bees behind the wall; its very safe there (except for gobs if they are near). I highly recommend you do not fight on the path. Bees move often and pretty stupid long distances, so you may start a fight without any bees near you, then when you 1/2 way through your fight a bee might aggro from nowhere. 40 might be a little tough because EM bees might be a little hard to find. But the population of the bees is enormous, so you might have some luck. 41 is much easier, for obvious reasons. A lot more options in terms of what to charm, and it was easy for me to get up to chain 4 constantly. Because you're moving around often, Sprites in this area are not to be relied on. I can guesstimate they cover most of the road path, but tracking one of them is pretty pointless because after 5 minutes you'll be no where near that specific one. Pixie Coverage: Yes...for the most part. Monster: Death Jacket Level: 40-42 Aggressive: No Link: Yes. Sight Monsters that might kill you: Goblins, Goobbues, Linking bees. Just take some caution you should be ok. 41 - War Lizard vs. War Lizard | Grauberg [S] | C-14, C-15, E-15 Comment from Amberooni: Today I exped in Grauberg S off War Lizards. I started there at 41 and most of the Lizards were T with a few EM's. At 42 the place is perfect. There are 5 different areas with a handful of lizards. C-14, C-15, E-15, and the square to the north and the square to the East after the little ravine thingie. Basically close to the southern zoneline after you fall down the waterfall. The only mobs that aggro in this area is 1 Gobbie which makes a circle around all the camps. I tracked it and he was easy to avoid. There's 1 air elemental spawn too but that's easy to avoid as well. The easiest way to get there is to campaign warp and then head NW with sneak/invis up because there are chigoes and treants you need to pass. I tried exping off the Fungaur in Jugner S at 41 before I went to Grauberg and it was lame compared to Grauberg. Pixie Coverage: No. Monster: War Lizard Level: 41-43(?) Aggressive: No Link: Yes Monsters that might kill you: Goblins, Elementals ------------------ 42 - Coppercap vs. Coppercap | North Gustaberg [S] | H-7 to I-5 If you're been leveling completely in the past like I have, you can take a nice, deep breathe and enjoy luxury. This, camp, rocks! No aggro from anything, pixie coverage, and I easily chain up to 4 almost every round. Coppercaps (which are funguars) are all over the H-7 I-5 path. You'll see a bunch on the road path, but you'll find more on the outer portions of the road. Just grab a DC-EM and fight EM-T and let the chains come. They do aggro, so you probably want to charm the mob closest to another one to avoid links. These guys, for the most part, do not hang around in close proximity, so the chances you'll link anything is extremely low. When you get around I-5, just don't go too far west. Goblins are all over the path heading to present day Oldton Movalpolos and will probably destroy you. But again, I never had any issue with gobs; never even had to worry about aggroing one. Pixie covers you're entire path up and down, so you can track her if you like. Also, do NOT stand in front of these mobs when you fight, and try not to keep hate on you for long periods of time. If you are not familiar funguar attacks, they have 2 front/conical attacks: Silence Gas and Dark Spore. Former does the obivious, the latter blinds you. But what makes it bad is that it is HP based attacks, and they *can* hurt a lot if they pop it right from the start. I died a lot in that bee camp (mostly from carelessness), but in this camp never died once. In addition, they drop a unique item called Agaricus, which is some mushshroom thing (that maybe all Coppercaps drop). They are used for one of the OPs missions related to bastok I believe, and also for 2 high level food items. On AH, they go from 7,000G-35,000G, depending on your server. They sell for 1,237G~ to NPC. I only was able to get 1 drop my entire level however, so drop rate without /thf is pretty low. But hey, potential extra gil? Mhmm. Pixie Coverage: Yes. Monster: Coppercap Level: 41-43 Aggressive: No Link: Yes. Sight (I think) Monsters that might kill you: No 42 - War Lizard vs. War Lizard | Grauberg [S] | C-14, C-15, E-15 Please check above for info on this camp (41-42). ------------------ 43 - Jubjub vs. Jubjub, Hill Lizard vs. Hill Lizard, Jubjub vs. Hill Lizard, Hill Lizard vs. Jubjub | Meriphataud Mountains [S] | F-8/G-8 Ok, so initially I found this camp "potential" camp first, and I was not very happy. This area is pretty crappy with all the hills and cactus and plants you can't even walk through. Plus the overall decor was crappy, so I tried to find another camp. Literally checking almost every mob for something appropriate to level on, I came up with nothing. So I decided, what the heck, might as well give it a shot. Never judge a book by its cover. This camp ended up very efficient actually, almost to the same caliber as the Coppercap camp at 42. You have an option of about 8-9 mobs in this area. Now I suggest to take a walk around and get yourself familiar with the area first. Perspectively, the area seems very large. But actually its not that bad at all. Mobs move around a lot, but generally they stay around the same spot you see them in. Both lizards and birds will run you from DC-T, although Birds have a little bit of a higher level range. I suggest you charm the first DC mob you find; if you run into another one, just Leave it and charm the new one. This way your old pet could repop as a higher level. I almost didn't have a problem getting Chain 3 and Chain 4, almost got close to even Chain 5. Camp is fairly safe, and if you took the tour around your camp you'll notice the evil ugly mobs (78-81 Scorps) and the Scavenger Hounds (which appear at night) are more or less easily avoidable. Hounds are at the east most part of Grid G-8, so you want to keep an eye out if your HP is low and your heading in this direction at night. They are IT++. And just for clarity, your closest zone is to the direct west, which is off the map but through caves. Also, there is no Pixie even close to this area, at least on my server.
